I booked here starting next Friday the 4th for 10 nights.
The points were just 160K, so average of 16K a night is good for anywhere in the world at a Hilton property.
I’m interested to see the renovations. Looks like it was pretty extensive in the room photos.
Do share pics/info , looking to book a stay late Nov but don't see real pics up on the site yet.

Not many mongers at Citrus though it might be friendly, a lot of locals and arab families. I would recommend and choose Novotel over Citrus.
-
Many good and new hotels in the area, no reason to book a chain unless you want the points. Big fan of Majestic Grande before but don't see myself going back to the rebrand.
-
Why would they change that arrangement?
Was majestic grande sold?
You're not sure? So can you or can't you as I was hoping to use the swimming pool.
Majestic Grande is being refurbished currently. It is to be rebranded as a Double Tree property by March or so.
It would be best to contact Majestic Suites/Grande reservations via mail, they are very prompt.

Can't beat Phachara for room size:price but some of the rooms starting to look old. Also, that joiner policy :/
-
Too expensive for Ibis sized rooms, much nicer options in that area.
-
Not sure if you can still use facilities at Majestic Grande. Something to keep in mind

I think they are pushing tourists to take Visas at their local embassies and reduce the massive queues at the VOA. I have seen the entire plane from India lining up at times. It makes sense for VOA to be reserved for people who decided on a quick weekend getaway instead of package tourists.

Darn, I loved that place. It had just the perfect ambiance, close to BTS and on Soi 11

I have stayed there for a short trip, good rooms but a lot of tourists (probably groups). I don't think the hotel is guest friendly anymore. Same price, Soi 2 Majestic Grande is pretty good, nice pool, don't know about the gym.

Hey guys, sorry about the QR code for the group got messed up. I've updated my siggy with the working code.
Also, I'm in town on 27-28-29 before heading off to Phuket, back again in Jan. Staying around Soi 4, will be in and around Nana/Cowboy, me and B'nio will be popping bottles at Mixx or Insanity every night. We will definitely hit Saphan Kwai once this trip, if you haven't been there, its worth checking out.

Haven't stayed at four points but would strongly recommend Majestic Grande. Nana is the hotspot for freelancers and a very short walk from the hotel, also no issues with joiners.

In Bangkok, most of July. Might head to Pattaya for a few days. Will visit Chiang Mai, second week.
-
I felt safe staying on Soi 2, probably due to the number of hotels and the JW at the top of the street.

Alrighty so my buddy just bailed out on the trip so its a solo trip for me. Will be looking to meet up for the lay of the land since its my first trip done plenty research here tho
My buddy isn't gonna be able to make it either by the looks of it but again solo can be fun, I think my first trip was solo too. There are plenty of cool BMs to hang with and give you a rundown, I'm getting in Pattaya 2 days after you. Buzz me if wanna grab a drink or hop some bars.

I'd suggest you drop them an e-mail to confirm. It won't be the first time they would be answering that question.
