Is it worth flying in from Europe for NYE (4-5 days)?

I was thinking about this for next year.

Generally it is high season, but I might have a few days off and nothing better to do.

Do you mean for travel in BKK itself? I used it every day in BKK, especially the Sukhumvit Line, it is much better than walking/sweating :)

Got the rabbit card for the convenience on the first day and drove up and down on a daily basis.

Yes, the Airport Rail Link to Makkasan City Terminal, from there you can take the MRT to Sukhumvit.

Also at Phaya Thai you can connect to the BTS Sukhumvit Line. (with the stop at Nana)

I have seen the documentary before my first trip and even though the story is sad, I think this is quite a typical one.

I found it very good to know where I am going and not seeing everything through pink glasses.

I actually let my hotel (Dream Hotel Soi 15) order a metered taxi for me TO the airport 2 times now, worked great, seems like they have some guys on hand and no hassle.

I must also mention Dream Hotel Soi 15, staying my last 2 days here again and found it really nice.

Modern styled rooms, good breakfast buffet with nice omlett station.

And as far as i heard before, lady-friendly, which I will test tonight :)

Edit: Girl friendly, ordered a Massage Girl 2 times to my room, they just take the ID, and send them up to your room after confirmation, when the girl is leaving, they call again to confirm everything is fine.

When i arrived last saturday i got 350B+tolls to Soi15, as far as i can read here, OK for a firsttimer with no clue.

If you want to go BB, this won't help that much, and you will take some time to get used to the new feeling (try walking around a whole day in boxers with the foreskin pulled back, i bet that's no real fun.)
