Correct it’s been scrapped. However I think I will do one as a form of proof of recovery.

My Travel Agent believes I am still ok to travel to LOS.

Just after some advice re entry into LOS having recovered from Covid. I’ve looked at the Thai pass site and it’s a bit ambiguous.

I’m Australian and triple vaccinated. Had my Thai pass approved on Friday May 27.

I have tested positive by Rat today. I’m now isolating at home as are the rules here.

I leave for LOS in 12 days time. I expect to have recovered by then, and can easily do a pre departure test.

Reading the info I can find it looks like I need to have another vaccine 14 days post recovery?

Anyone know if I’m now snookered?

The 5th day quarantine was a little bit to much, especially the risk of being positive on day 5 and ruining my time. But the first day quarantine only is fine with me as that's just a goodnight sleep at most and being tested before flying in should be enough to be an safe margin to be tested negative on the first day.

I'm think about a month long trip (April 4 till May 2nd) with some sightseeing and a lot of leisure and pleasure! So if somebody is in the BKK area hit me up if somebody wants to hang out and have a couple of drinks. Maybe share a few ladies/experiences or something 😉

My original travel dates have now changed.

Arriving April 30 now, no need to travel onto Europe. So I will have 1 week in LOS.

Thinking I split my time between BNK and Pattaya.

What are you travel dates in April?

How strictly is the hotel quarantine enforced?

Is it possible or advisable to sneak out of your room the night that you are waiting for the all clear result?

Is there a guard on the door?

There's usually a few cute looking 'girls' sitting outside waiting for customers. There used to be a few options down Soi 7/1 too, but not sure whats open there now. Being hidden away a little its been a busy soi during Covid. If you're happy to bring one back to your hotel then there's a huge group of them outside Therme every night.

Looking at a trip in 2 parts in April…. More on that later.

It looks as though things in LOS are slowly coming back to normal, or even whatever the new normal is post Covid.

I have reasons through my work to be in Europe in late April. As an Aussie, Asia, and specifically Thailand acts as a very convenient gateway to Europe. My work has an office in BNK and I understand my boss wants to assemble the APAC team in BNK fir a few days before we head up to Europe for a week long expo.

I sense opportunity.

So my thoughts are to arrive in BNK about 48 hours before any scheduled meetings there, to allow for a short quarantine period…. Plus some fun!

I’d expect to be leaving BNK on about day 5… so not sure how that works with the required day 5 test?

Then return to LOS from Europe for another week, this will be on holiday from work. So I guess that means a second isolation period too?

I have some questions that I hope some boardies may have some good intel on?

Are test results coming back from quarantine hotels within 48 hours?

Are there many quarantine hotels in BNK Sukhumvit area to choose from?

Is Thermae open again yet?

As an Australian hoping to be able to come straight in without a 14 day quarantine period.

Here in Melbourne it’s been a tough 6 months of lockdown. We are seeing fewer cases now and hope restrictions will ease soon. Talk today of a travel bubble opening between Sydney and New Zealand. Hope that’s the first step towards the new normal.

Looking like Jan 28th here. 3 nights only though.

No problem with a guest. They may charge for 2 though I think...

Stayed here in August. The hotel is in a good location. I had the basic room, which for an overnight stay was fine. My only issue was the bed was very firm. That’s common in Thailand though.
