HEADING2LOS Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Read on a thai visa site that starting September 27,2016, visa on arrival fee will be increased from B1000 to B2000. Does anyone experienced the current situation at VoA. I arrive 5:30am and have a connection @ 8:30am. Is it enough time to get through visa on arrival? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
tasman Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Should be okay took me 1 hour last time to get through
Rolondo Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Do we need a visa for Thailand now, I thought we were exempt for the first 30 days.?
Viandefraich Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Do we need a visa for Thailand now, I thought we were exempt for the first 30 days.? All depends on country of passport issuance.
Rolondo Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Thanks Viandefraiche I just had a quick check anyway, I have a British passport so should be able to sneak in for free.

Rolondo Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Thanks Vandefraich, handy little link that, with plenty of other stories from around Thailand that I enjoyed reading also.
Shorty Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 wow 100% fee raise that is ridiculous luckily I am Australian so doesn't affect me but I hope this doesn't carry on to affect other visa fees.
Rock@BKK Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 I visited thailand from 29 Dec 2017 to 5 Jan 2018 and experienced 2000 Baht is the VOA fee.
realdaffyduck Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 So, you are from one of these countries? Bulgaria, Bhutan, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Taiwan.
boob_kook Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 I think they are pushing tourists to take Visas at their local embassies and reduce the massive queues at the VOA. I have seen the entire plane from India lining up at times. It makes sense for VOA to be reserved for people who decided on a quick weekend getaway instead of package tourists.
