I just checked into Sukumvit Suites. It’s right at Asok BTS station a stones throw to Soi Cowboy.

Upside:

-location to Cowboy

-modern rooms

-cute from desk girls

-bar downstairs with happy hour

-within your budget

Downside

-small rooms (but manageable)

-street noise if your a light sleeper

(I’ve also stayed at Grande T21, which is 5star but more expensive)

Other plus

-you can see her taking a shower from the bed

Other minus

-she can see you taking a dump

-you can see her taking a dump (this might be a plus for if your into that)

-bathroom not very noise proof because of sliding glass door

^I stayed there too and I pretty much agreed with what you said. There are blinds in the bathroom for those that want some privacy. The room I stayed at didn't have the same view from the bed as yours though since the bathroom was facing away but the glass wall is still there.

I usually stay here as well.  Book on Agoda or hotels.com and its is about 55 USD. Use the hotel website and it is like 125 usd.

I stayed here for my last one night stopover in Bangkok, the only thing I missed was the pool, even if not used it is good to have an option of a swimming pool, next time I am using Hotel Mermaid, not the fanciest hotels, but it has a pool, large rooms, good shower and does not have joiner fee's

Hat tip to Buttviking who provided this information along with a pricing range in another post. I just added it to my vital notes to take and use when I head back to Bangkok. Hope it helps.

Lots of info on hotels in the area in all price ranges here:

I previously stayed at The Key Sukhumvit for ~ USD 25 a night. It was basically within touching distance of Cowboy

Place is clean and you get what you pay for. The bed is a bit hard (relatively poor quality mattress), but really for USD 25, it was fair. Drinking enough at Cowboy also meant it did not interrupt the good sleep
