Gallier
As mentioned in some other topics on this forum I am on my way to BKK ( relocation from the US ) and I am keen to learn the language because I think it will help to make things easier. Any recommendations in terms of which school and whether just speaking or also writing courses? cheers
ritch
there are various home learning things you can try i looked up on youtube and there was various minor guides there are rosetta stone and pimsluer but you can probably get one from your local library get on tagged.com and start speaking to thai girls they can love practicing english and it knocks two birds out with one stone howeever if you have trouble pulling in thailand id worry theres the pimsleur version on mininova for bittorrent and a few websites that teach you aswell
pawngotto
For a very basic crash course try the "in-flight" series. Their Russian version was enough for me to survive for 2 weeks in Ukraine and Russia.
bigbob
I took a course with unity thai language school. There are about 6 modules that concentrate on speaking first then reading/writing later on. I didnt get to the reading/writing stage but i thought they were quite good. juliethai
Hello, This month, I am taking thaï courses at Bangkok. I advise my School: Bunditwit Thai language school: http://www.blsthaischool.com/ I think it's the best. It is very close "Sala Daeng" BTS station. Good method, good teachers, good atmosphere. We are all very pleased with our progress. The school offers sessions a month with all morning or all afternoon. It is not expensive and it really deserves it! (I'm french, sorry for my bad english)
