zaphodbeeblebrox
There's a really good Indian in the massage parlor alley behind Villa Market on Soi 11 (next to the Ambassador). It's upstairs. I can't remember the name, but it opened about 6 months ago. Much better than the other Indians in that area.
SirSpike
Oskar on Soi 11 offers some decent western food, this place has a bit of a clubby vibe so music can be quite loud downstairs although you can sit outside or upstairs. You can see their reviews on tripadvisor http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g293916-d2333660-Reviews-Oskar_Bistro-Bangkok.html

kopite
Soi 11 seems to have a nice range of places to eat. Add to the above Rosabieng and Firehouse.
Kimao
Soi 11 Firehouse- breakfast burger is amazing Suk 11- has great thai food. The Australian- good food and often live music Don't recommend- Zak's wine bar. Food was awful and tiny portions. Marshmallow- expensive and nothing special Soi 8 Monsoon. Really like their Massaman curry, chicken satay and the gf likes just about everything too, so it appeals to Thai and farang palates.
