Koh Chang 2024 and beyond....

I'm going to start this with my experiences so far and hopefully others who've visited in the last year will add their info too. 

I decided to come by bus one way and fly back for the return leg. The journey is long for the distance and flights were pretty cheap - around 900baht.  Bus is about 7hrs and flying is 55 minutes.
I decided to break the bus journey on the way there and stop in Pattaya for some fun on the way in gentlemen's clubs as we don't have anything similar in Bangkok. 
Hotel prices on Koh Chang off season are very cheap on Agoda and you can pick up 4 star hotels with breakfast for about 1000baht per night. Awa and Chill are good options, in central Kai Bae but only about 15mins walk from Walking Street. Awa is excellent value for money. Haven't tried guest policy but will report on that if someone takes my fancy in the next couple of days. 
My report is for low season so that's really important to keep in mind. It seems islands like these are a completely different beast in high season - both in terms of prices and what's actually open. 
Most of the best restaurants in Kai Bae are closed - El Barrio, Fin, Mort e Fuggi. Seems that keep going til end of August then close to rest, refurb until October. There's a huge selection though so you'll still have plenty of options. Little Italy has decent pasta, Papa's I strongly recommend as the owner is Greek and makes really authentic Greek food. Strongly recommended. 
There's a bunch of more local places doing all the usual Thai stuff too. 
Outside of Walking street a lot of the bars seem to close about 10pm. Joy Mae is open a little later and J that works there is super cute, friendly and sadly not a take home option. Well, if I was younger I had have a go so....
Wine Gallery was for me really overrated - stingy measures for average wine and a really confused menu. Not recommended.

Transport - Songthaews are sitting around parked up more than travelling around. If you're travelling on your own, that plus being solo will increase your cost. Not many other travellers to split the cost with. Bear in mind again this is a low season experience. Kai Bae to White Sands cost me 150 during the day as I was the only person. Would be more after dark I think. 
Plenty of motorbike hire, bicycle hire I considered but having walked to a view point outside White Sands, fucking doing that on anything without a motor!

OK on to the P4P which as of day 1.5, I'm still in research mode. Massage places are extremely disappointing. I walked from end of Kai Bae to the other, so you don't have to. Everything looked legit, except Lucky Massage whose owner had a MILFy twinkly but I didn't see here when I passed again later.  In general, even with a willingness to go for MILF in 40s rating around 6, most of the women I wouldn't let pay ME to give me to a happy ending. Not great at all. White Sands was same, maybe it's an off season thing. Out of curiousity I tried the Moon.
400 1hr oil massage, massage strength so strong that after 30 mins I was just wanting to get out and all thoughts of HE were gone. Maybe that's part of her strategy. I asked her to soften up but bao bao seemed to be lost in translation. That said, I feel better for it today. 

Went down Walking street around 7pm and it seemed pretty lively already, about 10 places open and from what I could see the quality looked better than I expected - a few 7s and mostly 6-7. Based on other reports I expected lower. Going back tonight for closer look. 

TF has about 8 girls listing as Trat a few of whom are on Koh Chang. One works in a bar in Chaichet, TF listing Preeya 1990. She's FL and as I don't think I'll bother trying to travel over there, I haven't checked prices yet as I'm hoping to find some local fun. She seems friendly and speak good English. 
There were some options on Tinder too.

That's the report for day 1-1.5.  Mostly research but it all helps.

FYI, you can bypass the front desk at the Awa if you use the entrance on the right.

Little Italy is a new place, opened post covid, Papa's was on the river at the bridge until relocating last year.  The portions at Papa were so large I couldn't finish, and he has ouzo.

I tried flying once but it was expensive, around 2600 as I recall on Bangkok Air.  I think they own the airport.

Massage update 

This girl contacted me via TF. Certainly didn't see her outside a shop yesterday. It was all GRILFs and water buffalo. She's quite cute if the photos are real

She confirmed she does massage and HE at the shop Som KoChang, it's past walking street at the far north end of Kai bae

Day 3 "report"

Can confirm that Koh Chang is a nice place to come and relax in but definitely not mongering destination. 

Spent a couple of hours on Walking St but despite being keen to find a decent option, honestly there was nothing that ticked the boxes.  On the plus side apart from the Cambodian ladyboy, none of them were pushy or pestering for drinks.

Puinun(above) was working in one of the bars but barely looked up from her phone to greet any of the few customers that passed. Bored hot bargirl I don't need.

The small bar opposite Feelgood run by Joe the Sicilian had two young girls but one was talking to a drunk Aussie and the other spoke zero English. They were 6.5 so I'm not saying I want to discuss geopolitics but Google translate kills the moment for me.

I did a Thai cooking class for 1200 with Napalai Thai which was fun and good value because you eat what you make which is 5 small dishes. I made pad thai, tom yum, red curry and mango sticky rice from scratch. The teacher is fun so I'd recommend it.

I walked up to the viewpoints in both White Sand and Kai Bae and they're a bit underwhelming. If you have transport fine but not worth the effort on 2 legs.

Day 4 nursing a hangover after too many samsongs (90 baht!!) at Joe's I had lunch at Bananas which is actually better than some reviews would have you believe. German options on the menu, so I had a decent pork schnitzel and a very very nice Weihanstephan one of my favourite beers.

A few more places were closed and I had dinner at Baan Kai Bae. Decent massaman curry for 150 baht. After that I decided to give finding a bar girl one last shot.  Stopped at Joe's( it's the bar after Berlin) for a pep talk, was tempted by his two young slender girls but decided to have a stroll first. Stopped at Schatz's and there were 3 pretty decent girls who hadn't been there the previous 2 nights. I started chatting to Pupea an Isaan girl who'd just arrived.. She's 27( she said),  pretty hot, exceeded my expectations, and seemed like good fun. A couple of Lady's and she was dry riding me in the bar so that's a done deal. I really don't like LT / overnight anyway so we agreed 2000 for 2hrs or more, 2 shots and she'd call her friend to pick up when it was time to go. Future me would be glad of that.

Back to my place bypassed reception thanks to @Woody Woodpecker's tip and she was pretty horny. Jumped me once the door closed, shower, then back at it. DFK, fingers( asked for 3, the minx), ball licking, sloppy BJ all good. Was up for BB and wasn't, then was after I'd licked her into submission then she came to her senses. Joking aside I'd never go against someone's stated request for no BB.

Some energetic sweaty fucking in different positions and nice kisses and cuddles after. Her lack of English+ my lack of Thai + shouty bar girl chat soon got a bit tiring. When she mentioned giving my mum a Thai grandchild it was time. 😁

She was angling to stay over but I wasn't up for that.  I think overall bar girls are not my thing but she was fun.

All in all a very satisfying and unexpected end to the trip.
