nnmi
Has anyone had any experience staying at this hotel? I didn't find a thread for this in forum just a few mentions. Is this joiner friendly, i am concerned because its a few block outside the normal zone around Nana to Cowboy. Any thought or opinions would be welcomed. ricktoronto
Since the BTS and MRT shut so early and since taxi drivers are thieves I wouldn't stay at Chit Lom. Over a 2km walk after midnight is tiring. Stay around Nana and Asok side sois if not right on Sukhumvit itself. Sois 4 to 24 area.
bgtp
I wouldn’t let the fact that it’s not between Nana and Cowboy bother me. In fact, I prefer not to stay in that stretch. I know guys who sometimes stay by Chit Lom at Grand Hyatt, Intercontinental, Waldorf, etc. and don’t see location as a problem. When taking a taxi back don’t bother with ones that are stopped and waiting. Stand on the side of the street heading in the direction you’re going and flag one down that’s moving. e11bkk
You can always use grab. I've stayed here many times, but always with my GF so can't help with the question on joiners. Lounge is awesome, staff are friendly, location is fantastic. 7/11 infront as well. They are a part of Club Marriott which might be worth looking into as well if you plan to stay for more than a few days (20% off). There is no true suites, but the largest suite on the corner does the job with a nice work desk and a monster bathroom.
nnmi
Thanks for the advice, I am a Platinum member so I will give it a shot and post my experience. I don't plan on having many joiners but its always nice to have the option. I'm looking forward to giving this slight quieter area a try.
sgvinnie07
If you are looking at that area, Have a look at athenee plaza bangkok. I've walked easy back from nana. 15 mins. Use the short cut from Soi Ruam rudie. Easymart & Starbucks next door. Great pool area. 5 mins to BTS Platinum's get breakfast (huge buffett) and club access.
