Criminal
Hi all, Im looking to stay at Bkk for a week before heading home (for the first time, usually i just pass it and go south -> Pattaya and then straight to the airport before heading back home) So dont know too much about bkk and it will be quite new for me. From what I've checked, most of the night action is around soi 4 (nana plaza) and Sukhumvit 11, so im looking to stay around those places for a period of a week. my budget is around 800-1200bbaht per night, I need a location close to those places that has to be a guest friendly hotel/guesthouse and also quiet. i know its "cheap" but i prefer to spend the money on the better things then on the room😉 i'll be there around middle of may, but with bkk you never know and its better to book ahead of time. any ideas? recommendation? suggestions? thanks alot. JVHyatt
Soi 4 is the rank debauchery, i.e. agogos and beer bars. Soi 11 is the cleaned up variety, i.e. restaurants, nicer bars and clubs. easily walkable to one another so look anywhere in that area from say Soi 2 clean on up to Soi 15 and maybe five to ten minutes up/down each soi if you like walking. Citrus Sukhumvit 6 is a clear winner in my book for an NEP focused stay but there are certainly cheaper, albeit perhaps not as quality hotels but one thing BKK does not lack is hotel variety. Woody Woodpecker
Majestic Suites, Nana hotel, Raumchit Plaza, and City Lodge (request a room in back) are all budget options between Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy, a little more than 800-1200 (which is not realistic in the area unless you stay at a hostel with dormitory-style accommodations). Criminal
thanks. Majestic Suites, and Raumchit Plaza look good and the price also fits to my budget. - are they guest friendly? Yes, Majestic Suites and Raumchit Plaza are guest friendly. It’s about a 10-12 minute walk from Soi 11 to Soi 4.
alex712
Ibis Bangkok Sukhumvit 4 is often available at your desired price range It’s part of the huge Accor hotel group. The hotel is farther down Soi 4, so it’s less noisy. But Nana is just a very short walk away.
Shifty
Aspen Suites and/or Solo hotel on Soi 2. Both were nice and quiet and no problem with guests. 10 min walk to Nana or a 300 baht tuktuk to Cowboy. 5 min walk to a nice grocery store on the lower level of Ploenchit Plaza. footix
Stayed in Dynasty Inn recently for first time in years. Good value and couldn't be much closer to Nana and loads of Soi 4 bars. Rooms at the back are surprisingly quiet too.
