Anyone stayed here?

I've never heard of any of these hotels. None of them are near the section of Sukhumvit between Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy that guys on this website tend to frequent. And Al Meroz Hotel bills itself as Muslim friendly and is alcohol free and doesn't let women and men use the pool at the same time, which for most guys on this site would rule it out.

I feel it will be too overwhelming right on 4

Then don't stay on Soi 4. There are some decent hotels around the corner on Soi 2. I like Hotel Icon, Decent rooms and a rooftop pool. If you want something more upscale, there's the Doubletree or the JW Marriott.

I find traffic worries are overblown. Stay near Nana and Cowboy and you can either walk to where you want to go or take the Skytrain. There's pedestrian bridges all along Sukhumvit, so crossing the street really isn't a problem. As far as escaping the tumult, most hotels that are a short ways down a soi are quiet.

The real reason I recommend staying near the action is for when you want to take a lady back to your hotel from a bar or club. It's just easier to have your hotel nearby.

Everyone is different. Personally, I don’t like staying between Nana and Asok, more so for the sidewalk congestion and third world vibe versus the traffic congestion. I’ll go the when I’m in the mood in the evenings. Soi 2 is a good option as already mentioned. I like staying between Asok and Phrom Phong. I’m currently staying on Soi 20. One BTS stop away, things are a lot less hectic, dirty, etc. I also like the Phrom Phong massage shops a lot, so it’s a good location for that. I like to walk and I consider anything between Nana and Thonglor walkable as long as it’s not too hot.

if you want nana and want quiet, there are a couple of decent-looking places on the park end of Nana. it's not THAT far to walk, and walking is good for you. the park is, well, a park. and large. and the street down that way is more like a normal Thai street. MUCH quieter than, say, soi 11.

i occasionally stay at the Ibis which is halfway down the street and also halfway between quiet and barsville. inside the room's quiet enough.

Just traffic there is so crazy id like a place in able to escape to is all

Traffic on Soi 4 isnt that crazy other than later into night, esp if you stay further down like on Soi 6 alley (Citrus).  Traffic on Sukhumvit is crazy.  And frankly, early evenings arent bad on 4 and when you stay there, easier to get a plum observation bar seat.

Because of the traffic flow and uturns being illegal, getting up to, say, T21 from deep down soi 4/soi 6 alley can be a chore.  Took me almost half an hour by car once due to the traffic flow.  literally had to drive up and through a hospital in order to get in right direction on sukhumvit.  And again, candidly, there is no escape from the chaos at night once you hit sukhumvit or the red light areas.  daytime, the chais is at the malls and major BTS stops, not soi 4, which is actually pleasant during the day.
