Hey there Not been on for a while due to the crazy last few years. Thinking of organising a trip in May. Anyone else going to be there that month?

Book a last minute trip and come & join me next week 😀

I should be there in May as well. Anyone have any idea how hot it gets in early may?

I’ll be in town from May 1-11, and very much looking forward to it.

@Zeroat It’s still pretty hot in May, similar temperatures to April. But as May goes on, I think it might start to get a bit more humid. When I visited in late May a few years ago, there were a few heavy rain showers once every few days. Although I’m sure expats living in BKK all year round will be able to give a more definitive answer 😀

I will visit in late May. Will be good to meet others if anyone is around this period

How long do the rain showers last? Is it like the majority of the day or a few hours?

Heading over in May - the week of 15th. Would be good to meet up with folks

No, probably just an hour or two. But as said above, it still doesn't rain often in May. Even during raining season peak (September), you'll be considered unlucky if it rains all day (it happens 4-5 times per year).

So the last time I visited in May, it was for 7 days and there was one rain shower in that time. A really heavy shower, for about one hour. That was it. I seem to remember sheltering in Hillary 2 😀

Am going to be in Bangkok in mid may too, wouldn’t mind meeting up for a couple of drinks.

April 29 - May 2 - Anyone around for a drink?

New member - really appreciate everything I rread on here.
