Why don't people use airbnb more?
GlowStick replied to luvpoon's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
I want the Thai people who work in the hotel industry to keep their jobs. -
This is so true man. Amazing how your everyday Thai girls on the BTS are so good looking!

Warninig about AirBnb in Thailand!
GlowStick replied to Bestscp68's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
In my opinion, hotels are plentiful and cheap in BKK, why even need to consider AirBnB? Plus many Thai people work in the hotel industry to put food on the table so I think we should support the hotel industry by booking the good old hotel rather than AirBnB. -

If I were to book a room for one person in a GF-friendly hotel, can I still bring a girl back to my room? Or will they charge me? -
You can also take a 2 hour bus ride to Pattaya of course! :)

I have walked along Soi 11 few times but never knew about this restaurant. Thanks for the review and comments. Will keep in mind for the BKK trip in December! -
Wellness Residence, Soi Asoke, Review
GlowStick replied to plahgat's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
Thanks for the review. I think its location is excellent. Since there is no restaurant, I suppose there is no buffet breakfast? -
Sounds like a good idea as long as u dont have too many heavy luggage to carry on to the airport link.

I'm confused. What's the minimum for VAT refund, 2000 or 5000 baht?

GlowStick replied to rud1809's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
I stayed in Le Fenix in July this year. Nice rooms, large shower, complimentary water everyday, good buffet breakfast and close to many clubs and bars on happening soi 11. I would stay there again. -

How about a boat ride on the chao praya river and a visit to khao san road? -
There's something wrong with the mobile version. The button on the top right hand screen cannot be clicked to open the menu to login, see new posts, etc.

if that's the case, Booking.com is better than Agoda. No extra fees. I used Booking.com to book my hotels in BKK n pattaya back in July n it's a good site.

How about Madame Tussouds. Is it worth visiting?

Limo is meant to be the shortened work for limousine.

Yes agree Bangkok is very safe. Just keep ur common sense n u should be fine. I can't wait to go back! :)

I went to Thailand in July and booked all my hotels through Booking.com, as it was recommended by a friend. No booking fees. They just take ur credit card details to secure the booking but u don't get charged until u check-in. U get a chance to cancel the booking a few days before. I would use it again. Does Agoda have booking fees?
-
Yea I saw them when I was there in July n was wondering the same thing too. Not that I needed them, just curious.

I stayed here last month. Most of the important stuff about this hotel has been said in this thread. I just wanted to add that using the internet in the lobby is 30B for 30min. If u book for 1 hour, it's 50B. I thought I could find cheaper internet outside the hotel like a cybercafe but there weren't much choices and the ones I found had pretty much the same rate as the hotel. http://www.agoda.com/asia/thailand/bangkok/boss_suites.html

I thought the daily buffet breakfast at La Fenix hotel on sukhumvit soi 11 was quite good.
