  1. Hi everyone, Recently had a big change of plans which will prevent me from going to LOS (unfortunate but things happen). Besides flights, my hotel booking is a bit of an issue as it is non refundable. Rather than flat out cancel it, an agoda agent suggested I try to move it to another party. I figure this would be an ideal place to help out an addict with a discounted hotel room (and recoup some of my sunk costs) Details: president palace, deluxe room, September 4th to 7th. Admins: sorry if this is in the wrong forum. Was hoping for maximum exposure. Thanks! http://www.cancelon.com/reservation/349904/1-Rooms-Hotel-president-palace-country-Thailand
  2. Thanks for the review pat. Up to date opinions are priceless
  3. Love the glass shower...never thought about the sitting in the can part, good call gambler hah!
  4. I have stayed in the other citrus location and had a great experience. May give this one a shot on my next trip
  5. Citrus had a great pool and pool area on top. It happened to be really quiet while I was there too!
  6. anyone happen to have a cliffnotes/cheat sheet to seeing the differences? No hate to them but I certainly would like to be wary, only way I managed to tell last time was when the aggressive ones would grab me to say hello and I'd notice their hands!
  7. ...how do you even do that in that short period of time? hah
  8. Wanted to see if anyone had any good links (the more recent the better) with maybe a collection of handy/simple thai phrases that would help someone get around? Not even just with BGs (even though that is clearly the focus :P , but just for getting around? Last time I was there, I felt like what broken thai I picked up seemed to work better than trying the english over and over again.
  9. absolutely, the thing that put it over the top was that the staff remembered names in and out and were always great about recommending things to do/places to eat at. Right around the corner from a 7-11/family mart too!
  10. Hi everyone, Wanted to drop some knowledge on Citrus hotel, which has 2 locations of which I stayed at the soi 22 (anyone check the other one out by chance?). Rates were very fair (Think it worked out to about 50-60 usd a night), hotel staff was AMAZING considering it was me and a friends first visit and we (Regrettably now after doing some reading here) more or less spent our whole time in shorts there. Great showers, pool upstairs, decent breakfast but all in all, tons of value! Downsides: a little bit of a walk to soi cowboy (relative to other hotels, only about 10 mins really) and must have been relatively new because the taxi driver had a bit of trouble finding it (Really gotta pay attention for the signs) Great experience, would recommend it to anyone!
