I usually stay "fancy" when I am in town, JW, St. Regis, W, etc. For this upcoming trip I was thinking about looking for a local place (but still nice). I would like to be as in the action as the JW at NEP or the Westin by Soi Cowboy, wondering if any of you have stayed at a local place well appointed and located that you would like to share.
