Our room was on the ground floor, in the corner, and felt like a dungeon. There was hardly any natural light. I requested a room with a high floor but they refused to give us one. The room smelt really musty every time we walked in and you could only open two very small windows (when it was cool enough). There was one really old AC unit which barely cooled the whole room (it was quite a big room) and at night it felt like we were sleeping in a sauna! The bathroom had no shower curtain so everytime you showered, the whole bathroom flooded...I know a luxury problem but when you're staying at a hotel I don't appreciate that. The swimming pool, which looked great on the pics, was also out of service until 31st October.

Lastly, there were lots of rats just outside the patio windows running around in the rubble, dirt and taking leftover food from the rubbish!! 

This is just my two cents worth and perhaps the other higher rooms are much better. The saving grace, was that the small gym was ok and usable.

it's a nice hotel, quite and in Soi 2...u gotta need to rent bike, take tuk tuk or the baht bus to move around or if u wanna head to Walking street..

Too far out, uncomfortable mattress, thin walls ( not what you want in Pattaya) and staff that don't give a shit.

Better value to be had elsewhere. Looks great in the pictures but they're decieving. Would do if nothing was available or you're just passing through.

I dont wanna stay far from the action, like in Jomtien, but looking for advice on a hotel where I can sleep at a reasonable time. There seems to be nowhere near WS, LK, Treetown, or Beach Rd that is immune to this problem. I've stayed at Bayview and Intimate Hotel, but could not sleep.

What about Amari Hotel?  Anyone stayed there?  It seems to be close enough to the action, and convenient baht busses, and maybe quiet at night??

Looking for hotel around 30£ 1300baht a night with decent swimming pool and balcony in a central area around soi 7/8 Or Lk metro area please or beach road ?

any advice greatly appreciated .

Bad: View, dirty sofa, have to leave the key at reception when you leave (power goes off so you can't leave your ipad charging when you leave room or keep ac on). 

Review: Better late then never but I thought I would write a little review. I noticed that this hotel has a little shine on the forums and booked for my second trip to Patts. I arrived at around 3pm and was immediately was shown to my room I notice one of the bulbs was out. I had a shower (the shower head was broken and water came out unevenly) then had a more through look at the room. Everything was pretty clean but that blue sofa (love stained). I went straight down to reception and told they would have the shower fixed tomorrow (they did by the next after noon). I put a few extra towels over the main parts of the sofa. All in all the room was fine after the fixed the shower head and a light bulb that was out was changed, but I didn't like that I had to complain to get these fixed. I like when shit just works.

Return: Nah the sofa and small things put me off. For my next trip I've booked hotel Amber

Synopsis: Cheap does the job a little dirty,with an ok location just not for me.

Cheap, clean, friendly staff, small private pool to relax in 5 minutes from Jomtien beach.

Girl friendly and will ask for ID unless you tell them not to.

Balcony if requested in superior rooms, not great view I must admit, but then most of us not there for the view.

Breakfast is optional.

Laundry place across the road :-)

may someone suggest an guest/girl friendly apartment or hotel to stay in Pattaya with good price for 6 nights in January? Price/night should be less then 60 USD/night.

If finding a place with price like that is not possible, then would you suggest taking two rooms in some hotel?

Should be near enough to the street where girls are :)

One more query if someone can solve. We are 4 guys, we will book 2 rooms. So max occupancy is reached. We will bring girls to our rooms individually only. At no point will there be more than one guy and one girl in a room. The other guy will not be there in the room. Will the hotel still charge joiner fee.

I prefer clean and quiet enough to sleep at night. Medium to high price OK (just going for two nights). And would like to be in central part of town. Doesn't have to be on the beach.

This is a review of Pattaya hotel's I stayed in last November.

"I stayed at Secrets Hotel and Tim's Boutique this past week and half. I first stayed at Secrets.

Secrets Hotel - I arrived around 1:30am and check in was easy, paid 30% deposit. My room rate was 995BT for a superior room, it had a shower so I was Happy. My room was supposed to be on the 2nd Floor but there was mix up and I was now on the 3rd. They said I could move to the 2nd Floor tomorrow when it opened up. The room was pretty big but basic, big bed, mini frig,TV, elec safe, dressers and cabinet and table with two chairs. It's not that quiet sometimes, you can hear background noise or people talking downstairs in the alley. I guess if you're pissed/drunk they you might not notice that much.

The hotel is right off of WS, you can stumble back from Silver Star or Frogs Bar in 1 minutes. The bar downstairs is okay, seems like any other bar with cute girls. The only thing is that it's a little pricer then some of the others. 99 Bt for a Sigha and 150 for LD. Barfine was 600 and LT was 2000. I figured 1500 the most but I think they are not that busy and charge more, especially if you are a newbies like myself staying there. The hotel was fine but I probably won't stay there again.

Tim's Boutique - I changed hotels half way through my trip. This hotel compared to Secrets is night and day. I also paid alot more. 2300 BT for Superior room with breakfast. This hotel was really nice, comparable to upscale western hotels. The room was very nice and bedding was great. Soft towels, better mini bar items. They have a nice pool on the roof with a swim up bar. There were concern over construction but I didn't really hear anything. The last day I was there they were giving free trips to Million Year Park because they were doing heavy construction and this would definitely bother the guest.

The girls really liked this hotel, no joiner fees by the way. Hotel is located off of 2nd Road right near Kiss Food, near LK Metro area. It's right around the corner from Tim's Beer Bar. I really like this hotel but I'm not sure I would pay that much again. I wasn't in the room that much and seemed like a waste. I only stayed there 3 nights so it wasn't that bad. If I got a great deal then I would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel in the Soi 1 with huge comfortable rooms and a small balcony. 1 Minute to walkt to he the beachroad and the Baht-buses. I payed 1290 BHT a night (without breakfast). No joiner fee. Free WiFi at the lobby.
